Friday, March 11, 10 AM – 4 PM: The Mobile Education Exhibit of WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA (WAA) will be in Warm Springs on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public. This event is presented by Warm Springs Merchants Association and Meriwether Tourism, and will be on display at the market area at the corner of Broad & Spring Streets in Historic Warm Springs. A “Welcome Home” ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM. All veterans are invited to attend.
Second weekend in April: SPRING FLING FESTIVAL featuring arts & crafts vendors, food trucks, and kids’ activities.
First weekend in May: SIDEWALK SALES! Come visit the Cotton Pickin’ Fair in Gay and then enjoy shopping and dining in Warm Springs!
Last Saturday in June, 11 AM: A STAR-SPANGLED SATURDAY IN WARM SPRINGS. Come enjoy a hometown patriotic parade on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11 AM.
The route is from the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute driveway, east on Roosevelt Highway to Broad Street, and south on Spring Street. Children and parents are invited to dress in their patriotic best and join the parade from the parking lot at Dinner’s Ready by Chad. Our parade kicks off with a Colonial color guard and rifle salute, followed by a flyover of vintage planes. We are planning a classic car exhibit and a tribute exhibit to veterans and military personnel.
First weekend in October: SIDEWALK SALES! It’s not too early to start on your holiday shopping! Enjoy the Cotton Pickin’ Fair in Gay and then head over to Warm Springs for some great deals.
HARVEST HOEDOWN FESTIVAL! Second weekend in October. Saturday & Sunday, October 8-9, 2022, 10 AM – 5 PM.

Friday & Saturday, October 28 & 29, 2022: “SPIRITS OF WARM SPRINGS” Halloween tours. Come meet a few “spirits” of Warm Springs in some of our historic buildings in these fun, family-friendly, entertaining tours. Check out the spooky good deals in our shops that weekend! More details and tour schedule to be announced later.
A visit to Warm Springs in November and December will surely put you in the holiday mood! CANDLELIGHT IN WARM SPRINGS begins the Friday before Thanksgiving and runs through Christmas Eve. There’s front-door parking and warm friendly faces to greet you as the sounds of Christmas drift throughout town. Shops and restaurants are open all during the week and many feature extended hours on weekends.
The opening festivities are held the Friday and Saturday before Thanksgiving when we open with Santa’s Welcome Parades at 6:30 PM on that Friday & Saturday and our hometown Christmas Parade on Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Wicked Jeep 4×4 Club is a highlight of Saturday night’s parade. Our shops stay open late on opening weekend, and until 8 PM (or later) on subsequent Fridays and Saturdays through the weekend before Christmas.

NEW for Fridays & Saturdays in 2022: “Candlelight Market” featuring food trucks, a fire pit, s’mores, some family-friendly games, and maybe even a Christmas tree lot. Watch for details on pony rides, petting zoo, face painter, and children’s crafts. Santa will be at the Visitors Center on Fridays and Saturdays and might even made a few more appearances during the season this year.
The Candlelight tradition began back in 1983 during a major renovation of Warm Springs when one shop owner rolled a piano onto the sidewalk. Customers were invited to share in the playing and singing of traditional Christmas carols. As nighttime approached, the sidewalks were lighted with candles and the music continued for hours.
